Yes, you are reading correctly. Kris & I have been contacted by the ABA and were informed that Central Wisconsin BMX has have been picked to host a national in 2010 - on July 23 thru 25.
This is awesome news for us as a track but also for the community. We are very proud of all the hard work and dedication of our Board but also the many volunteers, riders and parents that have contributed to our success. Special thanks to AJ & Jennifer at the Wisconsin Rapids Convention and Visitor Bureau (CVB) for their contribution and assistance in helping us show that our community is a great place to host such a special event.
I will try to keep everyone updated throughout the off season. Be sure to check out the ABA's site for updates also.
The Board will be meeting here shortly (after some of them get back from Disney) to start on organizing the "wish list" that we want to accomplish before this event. We will post when we need volunteers/helpers/workers to assist us. We have never been disappointed in your support and/or help when we have asked for it. We look forward to working together to make the event a huge success.
Badger State National? Yes, it really will be happening. July 23, 24 & 25 of 2010.
Thank you!
Mark & Kris

Last race for the year
Thanks to all this year.
We had our most successful year so far in the history of cwbmx.
We will have another meeting soon to talk about next year and this year. We will give an update on this years results. Moto count and rider count for this year. Maybe even a dilly bar count.
The final race went off with out any problems. We got to give out alot of track awards. I think everybody liked them.
It has been a fun year. All kinds of interesting things happened this year. We built a storage shed (man cave) which holds the air compressor and all the guys toys. We sealed the track which was a bigger project than we expected but I think we may have that under control for next year. We black topped the berms. Turned out very well. I have never seen the racers go so fast around berms till they were paved. You racers are so fun to watch. We used up about 100 yards of clay this year we can never figure out where it all goes. I think some riders take allot home on there clothes.
We will have more announcements thru out the off season so keep checking this blog for updates.
Hope to see many of you during the off season.

State Championship Weekend
Awesome! Sums up the whole weekend. We couldn't have asked for better weather or better racing. We are exhausted but thrilled with the turn out of riders and spectators. Sunday was our biggest race yet - 61 motos with 294 riders. Saturday was 43 motos with 213 riders. Awesome!!!
We hope everyone enjoyed participating in the weekend as much as our track enjoyed hosting it.
As always Kris and I are extremely grateful for the generosity of our volunteers/workers with their time and talents in preparing for and running this event. We could not have done it without them. We would love to name each and every one of them but there are so many and we would hate to miss someone - so THANKS, THANKS, THANKS AND THANK YOU TO ALL!
Special thanks to Greg & Eric for the podium (specially designed & built by them) to use in the presentation of the state awards. It was such a great idea, we will probably use it again this Sunday for the Year End Awards.
Another special thanks to Dan Fara for the airplane ride for the aerial photos we were able to take. Dan is a great pilot, giving us quite the ride. Eric and I loved it. We hope everyone will love the pictures too.
Photos of the State Weekend should be available on the website beginning part of this week. Special thanks to Amanda Austin - Amanda Lynn Photography - for taking and downloading the photos. Great Job, Amanda!
Congratulations to those who won the State Championship in their age groups and to those that received a state plate. We saw some very competitive and exciting racing this weekend.
See you Sunday,
Mark & Kris

State Final Weekend
This weekend is shaping up to be a great weekend. The weather looks great shows no rain and high remps to be around 80 degrees. The track is in great shape, the trophys are here, the state awards are here from the ABA. It is all coming together all we need is riders and spectators.
Dont forget Saturday we have a 17 and over money open. 10 dollars a rider. Payout depends on number of riders.
Sunday after the state finalls we will have pit bike races. Then we will hand out the state awards. They are back packs and number plates.
Hope to see lots of riders there. Looking forward to see lots of riders from all over the state and surrounding states.
If everything goes right Dan Fara will fly over the track with Eric and I in the plane at about
11 45 Sunday morning. We are tring to get an updated photo of the track from the air. Looking forward to the airplane ride.
The track should be open Saturday about 3 oclock. The gate will not be going till alittle later, probably about 4 oclock.
See you there
